Marisa de la Garza, LCSW

Marisa is a Licensed social worker with over twelve years of experience in the field of children’s and adolescent mental health. She has extensive experience providing individual and family therapy in school, community and outpatient settings. She works with children ages six and up, adolescents, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds. She offers a holistic approach to treatment, working with clients to identify stressors and symptoms, while also building on their inherent strengths. She utilizes a variety of treatment modalities depending on the client’s needs including cognitive-behavioral-therapy, insight-oriented therapy, solution-focused therapy, psychoeducation, and play therapy. She has expertise in working with clients to address depression, anxiety, attachment issues, ADHD, behavior disorders, loss and grief, and trauma, including  sexual and physical abuse. she also has experience providing support to adults regarding parenting concerns, fertility issues, LGBTQ issues, multicultural issues, life stages/changes, and relationship issues.
