Darcey Simmons, LCSW CASAC

Darcey is a licensed clinical social worker as well as a certified alcohol and substance abuse counselor. Having over 17 years experience assisting others on their paths towards healing and recovery, Darcey utilizes a whole health, person centered approach in her work accompanied by evidence based therapy models. She works with teenagers and adults through individual, couples and group settings. With primary focus to the treatment of mood/affect disorders, trauma, professional burnout and addiction, Darcey also has experience in the treatment of personality disorders, psychosis and stage of life stressors. She believes in creative interventions tailored to each individual she works with, knowing that therapy is often difficult, and views her role to create a safe, comfortable space for one to just “be”. Her future goals include exploring the benefits of various non traditional approaches such as art, dance and the use of animals in therapy.
