Niamh Doyle, Ph.D.

Dr. Niamh Doyle is a licensed psychologist and a board certified behavior analyst. She provides diagnostic evaluations for children and adults suspected of having autism. In addition Dr. Doyle provides child therapy in the form of behavioral consultation for caregivers of children (aged 3-12) who display disruptive behavior (e.g., tantrums, aggression, defiance, disruptions, sleeping difficulties, school refusal). Therapy is based on the principals of behavior analysis and seeks to empower parents to manage their child’s behavior and monitor their progress with evidence-based techniques. Professional interests also include parent and staff training in the principals of applied behavior analysis, and school consultations for children with behavior disorders. Dr. Doyle is originally from Ireland where she received a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Education. Her interest in children with developmental disabilities led her to pursue a research position at the Yale University Child Study Center and in 2010 she completed her Ph.D. in Psychology at Syracuse University. Dr. Doyle currently holds voluntary faculty positions in the Departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry at Upstate Medical University.  (Syracuse/Downtown)
